Low-Cost Fall Bathroom Makeover
I guess this makeover should be titled “Low-cost Shower Area Makeover” because that’s more of what it is. With so many bathroom makeovers online, many of which require repainting, new flooring, new fixtures, etc., I wanted to see if I could do a simple and low cost makeover with the minimum; new rugs, towels, shower curtain. I plan to do a more detailed makeover for the entire bathroom in a few months.
For this quick makeover, I purchased new rugs, towels, and a plant; all from Walmart; a store that pretty much anyone has access to. I already had the shower curtain which I’d never used. It is made by Nicole Miller. You can shop my other personal picks here, here and here. You may have to open in browser if browsing from Pinterest. The towels pictured below were my other options which I may buy for the summer months to lighten up the shower curtain if I decide to use it during that season. To buy similar towels to the ones I purchased, here is a set.
Makeover Tip: I found that if there’s something you don’t like about a room, but can’t or you’re not ready to remove it, such as wall color or flooring, you can overpower it with a neutral or bolder color. It will make a world of a difference. For me, I don’t like my vinyl bathroom floors, so I decided to buy rugs that overpowered the flooring. This worked to keep eyes on the rug rather than the flooring. For the green paint I’ve grown so tired of because it’s everywhere in my home, the vivid shower curtain keeps one’s eyes focused on it rather than the paint. I went with bold colored towels as well to keep the momentum going.
My plans for the entire bathroom: In the water room (closed off toilet area), I plan to add a space saver over the toilet like the shelving unit below and paint. For the rest of the room, I will paint the walls and cabinets, add new flooring and sink fixtures, and decorate.
For those wondering, the plant is a Neoregelia bromeliad. It was $14.97. The rug was $14.84. The shower curtain was on clearance for $8 earlier this year. The towels were $3.97 each. So this makeover was a total of $45.75. What do you think? Not bad huh!

Heya this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Unfortunately, I can’t help with coding as I use plug-ins. I also google anything I’m unfamiliar with.
It’s a pity you don’t have a donate button! I’d most
