FPM – Spring 2022 Gardening Plans

Flower Power Monday Post 15

I’m not going to lie, this winter, the wait for spring has been extremely hard. I think it’s due to the crazy weather we had last spring which made me pretty much miss most of the season. I was def NOT accustomed to the warm then “out of nowhere” cold fronts that were still coming in up until late May. I feel as if I’m going to “go all in” this spring to somehow make up for last year. With spring just around the corner next month, I’m already planning what I’ll be planting and replanting.

What Will Be New to My 2022 Garden: Chamomile, Poppy flower Seeds, Blue Flax Linum – My favorite color is blue so these def caught my eye. I plan to grow them in pots as to make sure they don’t get out of control.

What I’m Replanting: Tomatoes, Lavendar, Lettuce, Cabbage, Cucumbers, Zinnias, Forget-me-nots

Cabbage

As some of you may know from my 2021 Planting post, I already have set to come up this spring: Tulips; both new and old, Peonies both new and old, plenty of hydrangeas both potted and in-ground, Alliums (both new and old), Geraniums, Aloe, Rosemary, Daisies from years ago (may have to transplant some of them as they’re overcrowding the space), Hollyhocks, Strawberries- I’ve had strawberries for years, but it may be time to add new seeds although I had an abundance last year. The list goes on…What about you all? What do you plan to add to your 2022 garden?

In the photo above, my youngest daughter labeled and decorated these cute recycled water bottles years ago, we plan to revisit this idea this year as well. Trust me, my cabbage will not be leggy as they were in this photo. I will be updating my original recycle post soon. Next week, I’ll also be posting 3 flowers I purchased last year that are def worth buying again. Stay tuned!
