Flower Power Mondays

FPM – My Weekend & 3 Swoon-Worthy Flowers

Flower Power Monday Post 16

Happy Monday! I’ve missed a few weeks, but I’m back and ready. We are now in March and the cold weather is easing up on us in GA, so much so that I was able to enjoy myself down at the lake this weekend. We had such a relaxing time being out in nature. We fished and grilled and simply took in the scenery. I now feel replenished in mind, body, and spirit. Here are a few pictures from my weekend to give you a glimpse of my view and to get you motivated to get out and about this spring and summer- No Staying In!

Today, I’ll be sharing the last of my 2022 gardening plans which I’ve already started planting some of the seeds I mentioned in my last Flower Power post. This week, they’re forecasting a cold front here and there, for that reason, I’ll be bringing back in the few potted plants I set out last week.

To go ahead and give you the three flowers I absolutely swooned over last year and will be going back for more this year esp since two of them were annuals, here’s a pic of all the labels. For those that don’t know, annuals are flowers that must be planted annually due to the fact they die every year or complete their lifecycle in a year.

Plant Labels

First up is the gorgeous Supercal Artist Pose Petchoa. These are so beautiful in person. They truly look like the drawing of an artist. Their vibrant color is perfection. For background, Im someone that’s normally not a fan of trailing flowers. I’ve never gotten any excitement from them, but these are different. You truly cannot pass them without giving them your full attention. The yellow centers just beg to be admired as well.

Next on the list is the Sunstanding Apollo White Cloud Impatiens. These totally struck my eye because the blooms start out looking like a perfect mini rose and then opens up to be these white cloud looking flowers the longer they stay in the sun hence the name. You wouldnt even know they were the same flower. I spent a lot of time admiring these in my garden last year. They do need watering on a consistent basis or they will droop big time, but water recovers them quickly. Here’s the link the purchase white Impatiens or https://amzn.to/35Rgfv8.

Last but not least, is the Astra Pink Balloon Flower. As you all know, I’m a sucker for light pink. These light pink balloon flowers are so delicate and darling. Best of all, they’re a perennial which means they’ll automatically grow back year after year. Here’s the link to pink Balloon flower seeds or https://amzn.to/3MC2Nfp. Welp, I hope you not only enjoyed this post, but also got a bit of joy from it to start your week; after all that’s what Flower Power Mondays are all about! Until next time!
